"So we are told when you no longer resist evil, by recognizing, 'Why this is but the arm of flesh, this is but the Carnal Mind, this is but hypnotism, nothingness. I can rest in this word." In that degree do you demonstrate it.

But you can't demonstrate it merely because you can MEMORIZE it!.

But memorizing it and keeping this truth constantly in your mind, morning,noon and night, will eventuate in your attaining the Inner Awareness or Conviction of it. Then comes your demonstration.

That is why when our students are meeting problems, there's no room in this work for being impatient. There's no way to guarantee a developed pure state of consciousness in a day, a week, a month, a year or ten.

Your responsibility we know: To attain that mind that was also in Christ Jesus, the mind that knows enough not to resist evil. The Mind that knows enough not to fight Error, not to battle it, not to overcome it, but to be able to say, "It's but the arm of flesh, nothingness." And rest in that word.

The attaining of that state of consciousness differs in different people, depending on their background. You see, the ultimate goal of The InfiniteWay® is this: Not that you overcome the discords of material sense and find yourself with all the harmonies of sense. Oh no no, there are losts of other teachings that can do that. That's not the goal of The Infinite Way®.

The goal of The Infinite Way® is overcoming material sense in its GOOD aspects as well as its evil aspects so that one may realize why the Master said, "My kingdom is not of this world. My Kingdom is not of this world. My peace give I unto you, but not as this world giveth."Ah no, He said, "Seek ye the Kingdom of God." He did not say. "Seek ye what ye shall eat, what ye shall drink, and wherewithall ye shall be clothed." Because that you can get from teachings of "this world."

The scribes and the pharisees know all about those teachings, but not ye,not ye on the spiritual path. You are asking, "Of what is the Kingdom of God?" "What is God's Glory?" I know all about man's glory. Oh, a heart that beats well, physical organs that behave themselves, a purse that's big enough to cover our needs, a few friends and relatives, I know all about the "world's peace."

But that isn't a thing that Jesus was refering to . If he'd been referingto the world's peace he wouldn't have let himself be crucified. If he wanted the world's peace, he wouldn't have given up his mother and his brothers and his father. He did. They were only with him at the very end,at the crucifixion.The rest of his ministry, they weren't with him at all,but he was willing to give them up because he wasn't seeking human relationships, even the good ones.

He was seeking divine companionship. Who is my mother, brother, sister,father? YOU. You my disciples and the rest of my blood relatives, they can go where they like and tabernacle with whom they will and enjoy what they will, but my life is lived among you, my disciples. You are my mother, and my father, and my sister and my brother, and my children if need be. You are my life. And that's the way the Master felt toward his world.

It bothered him not one single bit that he had no human relationships. He had the gift of God. Oh, in the last analysis and when the final chips were down, his family did recognize him and come to be with him at the end. That is why I said this is not an easy path.

It's not a cold one, not a cold one. Probably my human brother and sister think it's cold and probably they think I'm cold. But you know I'm not,because you see the other side of my nature. And so it is. My life is lived in the Spirit and so is yours. If so be you are on the spiritual path.

You may have to lose for awhile some physical comforts to attain the spiritual kingdom, you may, for a while lose friends, family, you can't help that. You may have inner battles with yourself while you are demonstrating that it is your own state of consciousness that determines your demonstration and that you cannot depend on princes or any other many whose breathe is in his nostril, for your dependence is soley on your degree of attained Christ realization.

Surely, we can help each other on this path. Jesus set that example by helping his disciples, the 70 , the 200, and in some measure, the multitudes that came to him. But he couldn't do more than that. You remember what he said to Jerusalem. "Oh Jerusalem, I would, I would, I'd love to take you in my arms like a mother hen takes her chicks, but ye would not." So it is, it will be with you. You'll have in your heart many a person you would like to put your arms around and take under your wing,and you'll find they will not. Why? Because they are seeking improved matter, or more abundant matter, you are trying to convey to them the wealth and the beauties and the health of the Kingdom of God, not health that's dependent on the body, oh no. The body that is dependent on spiritual health.

You see, here too, at first, you have a hard problem with The Infinite Way® because you quickly learn that it isn't your heart, or your liver or your lungs or your stomach or your digestion or your elimination that gives you health. It is that your health gives you harmonious physical action,organs, functions. It's a complete reversal of all that has been learned from the time you were born.

In other words, your life isn't dependent on any organ or function of your body. Your body is dependent on your life. Ah, but you have to consciously make that transition. You have to be able to speak to your body when it tries to talk to you. You have to talk back to it.

"Ah, no, thou couldst have no power over me, heart, liver, lungs,digestion, elimination, whatnot. Thou couldst have no power over me. I am the law unto thee! God gave ME dominion over YOU heart, liver, lungs,feet, head, brain. God gave me dominion over EVERYTHING that is on this earth or beneath it or above it."

And that is why I have given you this practice of going from your feet to your head to try to discover if you can find yourself anywhere between your toenails and the top most hair of your head. See if you can find yourself there. And you'll soon learn that ; I am not in this body and I never have been in this body. And I am not subject to this body, destroy this temple and I will still live!

That's why he said, "I will raise it up in three days." Because even if you destroy this temple, you're not destroying me because I'm not in it. I and my father are one and wherever my father is that's where I am. Where is my father? Locked up in a body? Hardly.Iinfinity confined in finiteness?Hardly.

I am infinite, I fill this room, I fill the garden outside, and I fill the heavens and I fill the earth, for I and my Father are one, and I am neither here nor there. I am where my Father is, I am in my Father, and my Father is in me and we are in you and you are in us. Why it's got nothing to do with bodies, not a thing, for I am not body. But I have a body. I have a body and I have DOMINION over it.

I can say to this hand, "Give" and I can say to this hand "Take". I can say to these feet, "Walk" or "Run" and do you think they can talk back to me? Then why the heart , liver or lungs? But, the hard part of the message of The IW® is that whereas this is a principle, it still remains for you and for me to demonstrate it, to attain the consciousness of it. Ah yes,this is a principle, but that doesn't mean that you can walk out of this room and instantly prove it in its fullest.

Oh, I don't doubt that everyone can prove it in some measure and in some degree, but it is the degree in which you PRACTICE this truth that determines the degree of your attainment of this consciousness. That is one reason I'm never impatient with students. Sometimes they're impatient with me, but that's only because they do not understand that I cannot impart this to them by telling it to them. It takes telling and re-telling.

It takes being in the Spirit to impart this consciousness and that isn't done in a day, in a week or a month. If the students understood that, they would be as patient with me as I am with them. For I don't expect them to walk out of here and walk on the water.

I can go back and know how many years to catch one little point at a time,and how many of those points I had to catch at a time before they summed themselves up into a worthwhile message. I know the years that have gone by the patience that was required. And, I know this too, that I had to sit and work with myself, prove this demonstrate this, bit by bit.

But you see, in teaching, you give the beginning students in the basic principles and in their mind, it means that their learning things that will take away their physical discords and give them physical harmonies. And,actually, it does in those beginning days. That's why healings are simpler than they are later. Because all the student is expecting is a change of physical condition and in accordance of your faith, so be it unto you.

It comes only as you advance in this work, (and I can say to you as I am saying tonight) that I am not here merely to change your sick bodies into well bodies.I'm here to teach you your true identity as "I" and to help you demonstrate your control over ALL conditions on this earth.

There's the difference. First of all, you have to learn your identity as"I". Now you can't deny that you each one call yourself "I" but you do not correctly identify yourself because you think there is two I's, I, God andI, man. And you think that in spite of two thousand years that have gone by in which you've been reading in the Scriptures that I and my Father are One not two. Thou seest me, thou seest the Father that sent me. And yet not realizing that that's exactly what it means. I and my Father are ONE."
